2008 Time Trial Series

The Lowes Motorspeedway Time Trial Series is starting again. This year we will offer some 40K events along with the standard 10 mile TT and the usual Team Time trial in July. Of course we will also have some kids events too. Details can be found on the CCTTA website (www.carolinatt.org)

Volunteer Opportunities

Last year, the CCTTA donated over $700 to THC due to the volunteer hours amassed by it’s members ! This year will be no different and not only does the club get $ but the individuals get some too ! Being the timing official for CCTTA, I personally am looking for a few people to help with setup of the timing equipment. This involves being there between 5:30 and 5:45 and a 1525 min task of setting up the loops at the start/finish line on pit road and on the main track.

For this effort, you earn 5 points per event. Each point is worth $2.00 at the end of the season toward a ride, merchandise or a gift card. One of the volunteers from last year got a free seasons pass this year ! There are other positions open too. From Collecting chips at the end of the ride, holding riders at the start, and many registration tasks. Contact Bill Heybruck if you want the full list or to volunteer. I hope you can help me make this event a big success. It’s already considered one of the best run Time Trials in the nation. Let’s keep it that way .
